Had a revolutionary idea: to study Twitter and elections! Oh, wait ... | Communication and Policy
In 2011, I had the opportunity to be at least 5 major events and Communication governor richardson Policy. And all, without exception, I work on the 2010 elections and the use of the candidate's Twitter. However, what caught my attention was the fact that the authors, almost without exception, made no references to other Brazilian studies and research. It seemed that everyone was inaugurating a new research field, totally untouched so far. In more than one of them, argued with the authors stating the importance of review of such studies and is based on the findings of other studies. I was folded, with almost everyone, with the argument that the texts were still few. Thus was born the idea for this post.
A fairly extensive list, which I present below shows that my impressions were correct. Shows that no studies governor richardson on elections and Twitter since 2009, but that the "boom" of the studies actually came in 2011 after the 2010 elections. Evidence also great interest among academics specifically check Twitter in the last election, governor richardson which corroborates the hypothesis that has been a vital tool in this dispute. If readers know of other research, governor richardson just send a comment or collaborate for the blog. As there is a text on my list, I also do the mea culpa.
