We went there 12 days for a ride on Cocos Island. At first it was a delight but we soon became disillusioned return, the island is infested with ticks. We realized 3 days after my husband had two well established ticks in his arm, our friend had a much bigger at his belt.
We first posed the question of where did we tankards these critters and it is by doing a search on "tick Rodrigues" we all inclusive ....

I regularly make bird photos cocos island. I leave the path taken by tourists and I never caught. You say "three days" after. It is still vague ....
I do not see what there is surprising when I write 3 days after! Ticks are small and strongly resemble a mole and it does not inspect the skin with a magnifying glass taking a shower!
Madam, I do not question your testimony. Simply: I am a photographer and spends time on this island. Never had a problem. And I come from a French region where Lyme disease is known.
